The Made in Kentucky campaign was created to showcase Kentucky Bourbon. The main tagline of the campaign is “The best things in life are Made in Kentucky,” while a secondary tagline is “Experience Kentucky Bourbon.” As part of the campaign, Kentucky Bourbon is featuring products made in Kentucky, including some that were made with Kentucky Bourbon. This campaign is targeting millennial women, a demographic that is not typically considered when it comes to bourbon. The softer florals and products included aim to showcase that women can be (and are) bourbon drinkers too. They should not be shied away from when it comes to advertising.
Billboard
This billboard features a well-known Kentucky Bourbon brand prominently displayed, while including both main taglines. The floral background leans into the target demographic of millennial women. The website is featured for those who wish to learn more about Kentucky Bourbon, as well as a disclaimer regarding alcohol consumption and the ABV of the featured product.
This billboard is an additional option for the campaign. It features a Kentucky landscape and warm bourbon colors behind the text.
Bus Shelter
This bus shelter ad features the same floral background and well-known Kentucky Bourbon brand as the billboard in order to tie together and remind people who might’ve seen one before of the campaign. The bus shelter includes a bit more information because people have more time to look at it, as well as a QR code that directs to kybourbon.com. This ad also has a disclaimer regarding alcohol consumption and the ABV of the featured product.
This bus shelter is an additional option for the campaign. It features a Kentucky landscape and a warm bourbon colored background for the text.
Instagram Ads
The Instagram ads feature products that were made in Kentucky, Kentucky Bourbon, and the same flowers that were featured in the billboard and bus shelter ads. The captions lean into the main message that the best things in life are Made in Kentucky and include the hashtags #MadeinKentucky, #ExperienceKentuckyBourbon, and #KentuckyBourbon. Each ad has a “Learn More” button which will direct to kybourbon.com so potential customers can become more familiar with Kentucky Bourbon. In addition, the floral theme and self-care centric captions are meant to further target millennial women.
