Speedster Motors Announces Bumpy Fourth Quarter Results
NOVATO, Calif. – Speedster Motors Inc. (NASDAQ: SPMO) today announced its fourth quarter 2023 results. The company, known for its innovative electric vehicles, cutting-edge technology, sustainable manufacturing practices, and strong global sales network, faced a series of challenges that led to its disappointing results.
In the fourth quarter of 2023, Speedster Motors’ revenue fell to $15 billion from $20 billion in the fourth quarter of 2022. The company’s net income and adjusted net income both fell to $1 billion and $1.5 billion, respectively, in the fourth quarter 2023 from $1.5 billion and $2 billion in the fourth quarter of 2022. In addition, its earnings per share (EPS) fell to $2.50 from $2.75 the previous year.
Speedster Motors experienced difficulties in late 2023 that significantly impacted its fourth quarter results. The company was forced to recall 50,000 Speedster Falcon vehicles during the fourth quarter due to faulty batteries that posed a fire risk.
